If you go to the Florida state website Home | Florida Department of Health COVID-19 Outbreak you can find some of your answers. Of the 153 cases in Sumter, 68 are in the Sumter county part of the Villages. Another 7 are in the Lake county part of the Villages. Using the dashboard you can find how many cases there are in your zip code.

However, these are all the cases since the outbreak started. A week ago, when Sumter county had 110 cases the Sun reported that 66 of those cases had already recovered. So we definitely have less than 153 active cases in Sumter county.

As for your village, if you are up on your villages and your activities emails you will likely be informed of any cases in your village or activities. If no one you are in contact with told you that you may have been infected and need to quarantine you probably have not had contact with those folks in your village.

I admit, I would absolutely love it if they reported recovered numbers every day on the front page.
