I see it as fairly straight-forward, without the need to overanalyze at all:
1. The risk of a very grueling, painful death of drowning by your own body fluids has increased greatly in the past few months.
2. If you want to minimize the risk almost completely, you can isolate yourself until the risk has passed. This is not practical for a number of reasons which don't really matter.
2. If you want to reduce your risk, and can accept a margin of error, then wash your hands, don't touch your face, keep 6 feet away from anyone you don't already live with, and if you can't do that, then cover your face.
