One of the things I like about the Villages is that it is affordable for most people. Another thing I like is that the developers do EVERYTHING they can to NEVER be in a position where they direct or order people around.

I'm not talking about adding jobs. I'm talking about replacing one set of work hours with the same set of work hours at a different set of responsibilities. There are already existing employees whose jobs are on pause, because they normally would be working part time at the rec centers, which are currently closed. Those particular employees could be offered the SAME hours - at the neighborhood pools. No one would be paying them more, there would be no added expense OTHER than a day or two for training in the specific tasks.
Also - I'm not in favor of restaurants re-opening their dining rooms, and here's why: we're not ready for it, our community has proven itself not capable of accepting the responsibility. All it takes is one single sneeze in an enclosed area, while people are congregating, and the waitress is walking past the table at that moment...
which is, more or less, what happened to me today. A customer was wearing her mask. She took it OFF to sneeze into the air, facing me, while other customers were walking into the store, between myself and this unmasked sneezer.
And then she pulled the mask back up over her face.
All it takes is ONE to ruin it for everyone. That one is already around. I don't need to see any more proof that this community isn't ready yet.
