Many (most? All? Not sure) pools in the Villages are salt-water pools. The salt is converted to chlorine in the filtering process but no actual chlorine is added.
It means less chlorine overall, which is less damaging to the skin and to bathing suits, while still maintaining a strong level of bacteria-killing agents.
I don't know enough about pool chemistry to say for sure, but if the actual chlorine content is higher than the water that comes out of your kitchen sink, I'm guessing it'll be safe to swim in it.
The "questionable" water - would be the wastewater used for irrigation in parts of the Villages.
