It is just as bad to generalize and exaggerate as it is to listen to just one side all of the time.

Yes. We are in a mess, but we are not alone in this mess. This awful thing started in November and it has inflicted itself on the world. Everyone is trying to make sense of it, not just the U.S.

Count me as someone who is more interested in listening to the medical doctors than to the politicians on EITHER side about this "mess"

I am so glad we have two M.D.s here in The Villages who regularly step in with needed medical direction. I am sure that no one is going to inject themselves with bleach. I also dislike just trying to make someone MAD over things like the fellow kidding about buying stock in bleach.. It is pointless and we certainly don't need that now. THANK HEAVENS FOR Doctors BLUEASH AND Golfing Eagle.
Seems to me, we in the USA are used to a government response that is consistent, steady and reliable in times of national stress or emergency.

From bungled attempts to keep all quiet, to bungled tests and refusal to acknowledge that fact, to trying to message everything, we simply kept running into ourselves. We still are doing that.

This is not to say the USA was to blame for this virus, but refusal to acknowledge or investigate when our Intelligence agency began to pass warnings, very early on, about what would happen if we did not act, and subsequent actions were counterproductive.
