It seems there are lots of stores that are closing due to the "recession" and the fact that people are not shopping. If you have any "gift cards" from these stores, make sure you use them, or you will lose them !

Watch those store money cards and gift cards.. and credit slips! Stores that informed the Security Exchange of closing plans between October 2008 and January 2009. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Well I can only voice my opinion about stores that are closing.....
As for J.Jill which is up for saleand is owned by Talbots, Unfortunately, Talbots felt that the J.Jill stores did not make enough profit. Yes , Talbots sunk ALOT of money into the stores. But I do not think that they will close.

As for Talbots, will they close???? With the amount of stores that they own, and the amount of inventory that they have, I do not think so. If they were, you would see alot of mark downs going on now. My inside scoop -Talbots just placed an order for new fixtures for their stores .( How do I know that...I work for a company that manufactures millwork for Talbots.)So would a company spend over a half million dollars now and closed next year? I do not think so.

Just my humbe opinioon.......
