Which ever brand you choose, I would highly recommend getting a weather radio. I say this because when we were just renting, we woke up the first of February and turned on the TV to find there had been a tornado that went through the Mallory Hill area. We had slept through the entire night without any knowledge that the storm was approaching. So my advice is to get a radio. There are no Tornado warning sirens here in The Villages.
Thank you!! I was wondering about the warning system here. I did sign up for the Sumter County alerts but I have no idea how reliable it is.
