I keep my thermostat set at 78 degrees, with no humidity control. The humidity stays at between 45 and 55 most of the time. I see no need to try to control the humidity. And, you really cannot control both the temperature and the humidity unless you have a whole house dehumidifier. Some thermostats have a humidity mode, but, unless you have a dehumidifier, the humidity mode setting will only "overcool" the house by about 3 degrees below the temperature setting to reduce humidity when needed, and your house may get too cold.
