he hasn't even taken office yet. He has already been managing expectations down from all the campaign promises. Maybe all the wisdom from the staff he is pulling together is advising him to back peddle. Until he takes office he has no clue about what he will be able to do or not.
Anticipation doesn't get the job done...promises kept VS promises made.
What keeps ringing in my ears are all the promises made when the Dems took over the Congress two years ago. How did their promises kept VS promises made turn out two years hence. Not too good as they managed to earn the lowest approval rating in history. But we don't see or hear much about that. And there is no bashing of the incompetent incumbents earning those low numbers. And that is not a surprise.
That is exactly how it will be with Obama. His honeymoon with the media will go far, far, FAR beyond the first 6 months.
Talk is cheap....and that is ALL we have to date.
One year from today will allow a more substantive call regarding what he achieves. And no I am not expecting him to fix all the things wrong in the world the first year. Only deliver on some of the shorter term promises made...not " it is going to take longer than expected " that's called waffling already.
We shall see.
