And just because I started this thread doesn't mean I've read and watched a whole bunch of book/movie combos. Heheh. Luckily the ones I have I've really liked both.

Another that comes to mind is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Both are just wonderful. The first movie...The Fellowship of the Ring...is one my all-time-favorites list. But all three books and movies are really good. (2newyorkers...does this count as a series. Not television of course, but still a trilogy of movies/books. )

And by the way, Ms. Amee, thanks for the kind words regarding the thread. Yes...I get to where I just want to read about anything other that the C word.
OK, I'll try to explain my one or the other comment. When I read I get right into a book. I put a face on the characters and a voice and even a personality. I disappear into a book, so much so that sometimes I even dream about the story line. So when they make a movie about "MY" book they put their own spin on my people and it either ruins the book for me or ruins the movie, depending upon which I have watched or read first.
