Big Guy, I have Travelers for the car and backed into my garage with the door open at under 1mph. I thought I was in Park. Oops. Brand new car, embarrassed that it happened and called my agent after I got the estimate of $1200. She said use your insurance that what its there for. If it goes up we'll deal with it. Well I paid the $500 deductible they picked up the rest and the rest is what they tacked onto my next bill. Very disappointed in myself for the accident and for them hitting me so hard after a lifetime of no claims with the best Insurance Company in the world. New Jersey Manufacturers. Dividend checks twice a year and reasonable rates. I guess your lifetime record doesn't count when the result is in your favor.
I've comes to terms with the Insurance business and their ways in Florida. The do deserve to make a profit. I would have been nice if they spread my big hit over several years.
I'm going to give Chubb and AAA a shot at the car this year. Very helpful thread.
