You may be able to double check this by using a meter on the terminals of the timer to see if it is getting voltage, if it is, bad motor, if it is not getting voltage something else is bad.

You and Bogie have helped to focus my direction and like u suggest - I do believe the timer motor has gone kaput.
This house/pool is 12 yo and the box/timer appear to be original...so no surprise that it failed on my watch!!
Thanks - will pm if needed. I’ll just get my saws all and get to work exposing the timer housing!!
