No need for the switch component as that was not defective.
Removal, replacement and instillation was a cake walk. Make sure your garage breaker AND the unit (box the timer is housed in) breakers are off.
Mark and photo the wires before removing the timer unit.
3 photos attached - one shows new timer next to failed timer. Two shows the timer unit reinstalled. Note that it just clips in place. Three shows a window that exposes black wheels.
The timer unit only works when those black wheels are turning.
