Death rate per infected is not really a good way to judge success of lockdown vs herd approach. 50% of Sweden's deaths have occurred in nursing homes. In the USA its more like 1 in 4. Nursing homes have the people most likely to die, so the percentage of deaths to infected is skewed by this.

Sweden's death rate per million is a lot lower than UK, Italy, Spain, France etc They all had lockdowns too.
