I think that they do cause harm, I had a friend in Virginia, he let the electric company put high voltage lines, you could hear the lines humming, his cattle start to miscarriage and he had animals born with several problems (2 headed, 6 legged Cattle) had too many to disregard since before the lines he had no issues, he died of a rare form of Cancer. Yes I would never purchase a home near any overhead power lines.
