Agree, cleaning A/C vents can easily do more damage than good. The better option is to run your A/C without the filter and spray a can of Lysol into the air intake where the filter is. I do this once per year to disinfect the ducts. Then put in a new filter and crank up your A/C and go golfing so you are not in your house for a while while the smell of the Lysol dissipates. The only problem with this is that it is currently next to impossible to find the Lysol.
