Not if they are wearing a mask. The mask blocks the droplets that are spewed when someone speaks in a normal tone.
I get it. You can not eat and drink with a mask on. Hubby and I celebrated our first breakfast out since this pandemic in Mt. Dora yesterday. We dined outside on a second story balcony. The only other patron was clear on the other side of the balcony about 25 feet away. It was just lovely. We did not wear masks because it really is impossible to eat and drink when wearing a mask.
So, to all you folks who are having a wonderful time eating and drinking and congregating in public establishments....... don't wear a mask. Having said that, please wear a mask when you are indoors in stores and can not easily social distance. That would be just about every indoor space that has aisles including retail stores, grocery stores, warehouses and pharmacies. Is it too much to ask? Only responsible people wear masks in these venues. Thank you for being responsible.
