When I need to see a model number or look behind something don’t want to move, I try to get a photo of it using my cellphone’s camera. If you need extra light, a flashlight might help too. Sometimes taking a video rather than a photo will allow me to view it from different angles until I get what I need.

Switching gas cooking for electric would be like trading a CD Player back to cassettes. To me, not having a gas range was a deal breaker when I was choosing a home but I suppose electric might be safer and easier to maintain if you plan to allow renters.
