Verizon can be aggravating sometimes but I don't think you can beat the service. That 55+ plan they offer with Unlimited Data is dirt cheap.

If you have a strong signal in your location, any phone service will do fine. If you travel and especially if you go To remote locations like mountains or parks, Verizon has by far the best coverage.
True story. I lead motorcycle tours as the chapter Director of a Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. While in remote locations I would often need to call ahead for lunch reservation for The group. If I could not find a signal on my Sprint phone, I would ask for a phone with signal bars and it would always be Verizon.
