Are you referring to USED parts or AFTERMARKET (non-OEM) parts? I would find it difficult to believe that
used parts are their modus operandi or you can be sure it would be plastered on every corner of the web. I'm sure there can be bad experiences for just about any company in any industry. That being said, to save $1000+ a year for me it might be worth taking the chance. One could always switch companies again. For me personally as long as it looked like new when installed that's all I'd really care about.
