I wouldn't give a hoot about using Non-OEM part to repair my car as long as they were not from certain sources which I will actively be watching when I remember on all items we use. Especially a car repair.

Try handing a Leased vehicle back in at the end in pristine condition with a Non-OEM Windshield installed and a sharp inspector taking the car back. It would be an expensive mistake. When I insisted on OEM Glass on a 2015 Transit Connect the insurance Adjuster thought I was nuts. I prevailed and it's a good thing I did cause the women who took the car in was born to snag people on inspections.

I like what retiredguy and Chatbrat posted about no uninsured motorist. Definitely worth investigation. Wouldn't it just be like an Insurance Company to take advantage of their clientele?

One last company to check Chubb Ins. I like the name and drove by one of their offices every day for years, do you think that will get me a discount?
