Not exactly. CenturyLink has a “price for life” internet service - the price is fixed unless you change your level of service. There are numerous internet streaming services such as YouTubeTV and Hulu that will provide you with plenty of content. You don’t need to pay your internet provider for their TV service. The streaming service prices will increase with time. If you really want a “land phone line”, subscribe to one of the voice-over-ip services such as Ooma - about $5 per month.
