Well Maintained, As Well
I happened to be in the Coconut Cove "pool room" the other day when a repairman was replacing the felt on all six tables there. When I asked how they could possibly be worn out, the tables getting only light use during the three years or so that the center has been operational. He explained that the original felt on the six tables there was not of sufficient quality to provide "true roll" to the player. So, he explained, the Recreation Department ordered that the felt on all the similarly-effected pool tables be replaced.
All this may mean more to you pool "regualars" than it did to me. I was impressed that the tables were being so well maintained, even though it wasn't the result of wear.
