If there is any weight behind this notice, then we really need to get this under control as it will only get worse as we go into the election. To have the current political topic of the day posted umpteen different ways and then hashed in arrogance does nothing but lower the quality of this site.
Yes, we can choose to not to read it, but you can choose not to post it. As of tonight, there are 107,414 registered TOTV users. TOTV promotes that this is the site where 'You can find all the information you could ever imagine about Florida’s friendliest hometown throughout the website.' From what I can tell, there is just a small number introducing these topics over and over.
What has been getting posted recently is a hijack of this site to promote their political leanings. These discussions have nothing to do with The VIllages and definitely do not promote the friendliest hometown image. There are many political sites on all sides of the spectrum on the internet. If you have the need to discuss political leanings with like minded people, please consider going there.
