There's also no myth involved, from the comments I've personally heard...from neighbors and golfers I've played with.

So the proof of rampant racism is an article about a few Police in Fruitland who were KKK members and then got fired, plus some comments you heard on the golf course?

Exceedingly unusual is the opposite of rampant. Most don't judge their world by comments on the golf course.
Something to look into if you are concerned about racism. Blacks die by homicide at 8 times the rate of whites, not by Police, not by whites, but by blacks. Thousands of them every year. Last year cops killed 9 unarmed blacks, some of them were shot by black cops.
