I have had a couple of bad experiences with health care here. If it's something I am really concerned with I go to Orlando or Shands in Gainsville.
I am a nurse, lived here for 10 years - I have seen so many “pop up” urgent cares and providers it’s scary...you need to do your homework, ask for friends referrals or from your insurance provider. There are many competent providers, you do not have to travel an hour. I have a fabulous PCP here in Lady Lake and if I can’t see him I go to LRUC in Lake Sumter Landing.
