Why not insulate the garage and have it cooler than the outside???
Today, golfed until 1pm. Came home, opened the garage and it was cool.....almost like air conditioning, less humidity as well.

Screens are not fixing the heat issue........it's a band-aid.

You laugh but evidently you never had one. Not sure where it was said it will cool the garage when it's 95 out because it won't but in the fall/winter when it's nice and cool out it cools the entire house without using A/C with the screen closed so no bugs, door to garage and inside windows opened.

It does provide privacy (if one has the privacy screen) during the day if you want to do "stuff" in the garage and not have to be locked into a closed in area with no moving outside air. I find it easier to do small stuff in the garage on the car or the cart or use saw table or do painting with paint with strong fumes with an opened garage door and the screen keeps out bugs, nosey people. the neighbors dog and makes painting safer. One could even start their engine without possibly dying if needed.

Whatever does or doesn't float your boat is fine but you really shouldn't knock something without experiencing it first. If you don't do anything in your garage then obviously it's not for you. There are a LOT of them around so many people might disagree with you. It is good that it makes you laugh though. We all need to laugh as it's good for the blood pressure and overall mental state in these crazy times.
