I'm not taking sides and I don't think that this post is political. I am just putting forth the viewpoint that the only people these signs benefit is that people that make and sell signs.
Dr. Boogie, your post is excellent, I agree with your comment: What is the point? I doubt that they will ever change anyone's mind. I think the point is that we, in this country, have the right to show our preference whether it changes minds or not.

The enormous division in this country has not always been there, but our right to show who we prefer to lead us, has always been there, and hopefully will continue.
