Once a compressor fails the replacement has a higher chance of failing than the original which was installed at the factory under ideal conditions. A replacement in the field is different. It also makes a HUGE difference what type of failure your first compressor experienced. Was it a severe burnout or stuck and wont start or just not pumping? It is important and many times very very difficult
sometimes extremely difficult to clean up a contaminated system. Did Munns install a dryer in the liquid line and if the failure was a burnout, did they install a filter/dryer in the suction line as well. In commercial systems with large compressors many times a follow up in a few days is done to see if filter/dryer is full of contaminants and needs to be replaced.
