Agree and somewhat disagree. Agree that the post was incorrect. Agree that the developer has no "power", however, their money does have influence. If a 25% real estate tax increase is not proof I don't know what is. I would bet dollars to donuts a member of a certain family speeding down Morse Blvd. would not get a speeding ticket.
