I would also propose, DO NOT destroy those statues of confederate soldiers/generals/leaders, but instead relocate them off of public property and establish museums like this...to teach our children about how/why racism and bigotry exists.

I would also ask that those who have no desire to educate themselves (or still worship/admire confederate war figures and/or racist logos/mascots/Etc.)...please just pass this thread by.

It is not good to continue to try to find reasons to be angry at things that happened in another time and were done by people who are no longer alive. I think every day in this country, there are fewer and fewer people who hate or dismiss or judge because of color. It is sad that people who have the need to feel superior will use other measuring sticks and will continue to be self righteous in their virtuous stance.

Racism is only one form of hatred. There are some whose absolute belief in their own superior selves and their disregard for those who do not agree with them is another form of bigotry and hatred. One can feel it in their posts and see it in their message of so much anger. So much anger.
