I am really surprised to read this. I used to see things tossed along the path sometimes on 466 and would fault those jealous of us living here and sometimes would blame the people who just visit us like some of the construction workers for a can or two or maybe some kids visiting grams and using her golf cart. I haven't been out much lately but in my "surveillance trip' with my husband a week or so ago, just to see for myself about the mask wearing a Publix parking lot, I didn't see any trash on the ground there and I DID see almost everyone wearing masks entering and leaving.
One of my friends reported being made fun of and told "oh, you look stupid, you are all like sheep to wear masks." I did think to get together the posse we formed years ago to keep law and order in The Villages, but many of our members now are in their 80's and declined.
