You should be. The Friendliest Hometown that I knew 11 years ago no longer exists. There is not enough infrastructure to support the growth. The surrounding communities do not have an adequate employment base to pull from to support the businesses. As all across America, hatred and divide exists here. All you have to do is read between the lines in these blogs and Next Door Neighbor. These two people should be ashamed of themselves. The woman does not represent residents of The Villages. She is trash. The man, he got caught up in the passion of the moment and his disgusting true feelings came out. And believe me, there are many just like him living here, they just keep their feelings to themselves, especially now, as everyone is trying to be politically correct when it comes to racial divide. I live here because I have a network of friends that I associate with that was established long ago. We do things together to keep both mentally and physically active. We support each other. TheVillages is not important to me, the friends are. I have not been to a square in 5 years. People fight over saving seats and they are open to anyone and everyone. The supply of golf courses can not support the demand. Not good. I wish I could paint a better picture for you. The newer residents are still in the honeymoon stage. The older residents know what is was like and what it is now.
