The median age of new cases in Sumter has dropped from 75 to 43 in last 2 weeks. Just like in most new cases of the surge. Median age new cases for all of Florida is fluctuating in mid 30s. The 4 new cases from The Villages are probably some people who thought it was safe to go out to a bar or restaurant, who knows.

Of the 368 cases so far in Sumter, 32% are from correctional facilities, 4% from nursing homes. 13% of all cases have been hospitalized, 5% have died. It doesn't say how many of the 17 deaths so far are from Nursing homes, but I would expect 40-50% of the deaths come from there as that is the trend nationally.

All in all, The Village People have done an outstanding job staying safe. Take a bow
