I live in Sumter Co. and there have been 18 deaths total (or was it 17?). BUT, I believe there has only been 8 or 9 deaths in The Villages portion of Sumter Co. Not sure, because I have to rely on iffy reporting. 8 or 9 deaths in the past six months of this thing does not panic me. I wear my homemade mask like a good soldier and was even wearing gloves and eye protection when this thing started and we had less information to guide us. But, no matter how much precaution you take, there are always those that "KNOW" much more than us and are much more "educated" that will force their demands upon us, so as to protect them.

Infections go up as more testing data accumulates. That's just logical and for those that are "educated" it's "science." More importantly is the ratio of persons that test positive and are hospitalized and then add to that the amount of deaths and the actual dates of death. 8 or 9 deaths total suggests that we do not have as much problem here as in other areas, so we should look to see how we differ in our efforts. I shop about once a week for my spouse until things get better, but I see half of the other shoppers without masks. And yet, we still have a low mortality rate. Something to think about.
Florida had close to 14,000 cases recently in one day. How can "Bizzaro World" occupants deny that?
