We all know that we have far fewer days and months and years than we used to, but no one wants to die alone in a hospital. I don't want to die at all, and this damned Covid-19 is a big deal and a source of concern (not hysteria) for those who have treasured friends who matter to them and who are older too.

We all have heard all the punchlines to the ribald jokes about how we want to die. Me? I'm not going to if I can avoid it right now.
Yes, I realize that is the number for the whole county of Sumter. I was referring to the Villages portion of Sumter Co. I believe the number is 8 or 9 deaths. I am not making little of deaths. I am merely wondering what might those seniors in The Villages be doing that has kept them from dying, not becoming infected. Because according to the testing centers, it would seem like most of those tested seem to come back positive. Makes one wonder how many FALSE positives are being posted. Anyway, what is it that seniors here are doing that are keeping them alive? Can't say it is wearing of masks because half the people I run into when shopping are not wearing masks. Are they getting out and getting more sunshine and fresh air, maybe? To me, 9 deaths in a population this size is amazing, considering the seriousness of this illness.

The fact is that more testing equals more positive test results. More testing does NOT equal more deaths or hospitalizations. Does anyone consider that?
