I would hire an experienced full price agent. But I would require them to provide a detailed and written marketing plan for my house that they would need to implement. The listing agreement would be for not more than 90 days, with the option for me to fire them at any time that I lost confidence in them. Otherwise, I would just list the house on Zillow and offer a 3 percent commission to any agent who sells the house. Some discount agents will just list the house and wait to collect a commission.
