Not only did I work hard every day at least 5 nights a week, I also brought my computer home and worked another 3 - 4 hours to get everything done. There were times I worked 14 days straight because something had to get done. I easily worked 50 - 60 hours a week... every week (I was salaried so no additional pay). Almost every year I didn't take all my vacation pay because I was working on "hot" projects. I didn't get compensated for that.
So don't tell me about white privilege.
I worked VERY hard and long hours for everything I have today.
