Stop with the denial of their righteous and important focus and the support of others who recognize their pain and their cause.

Would you have been angered at Jews who did not stand for the anthem when they learned that FDR was aware of the concentration camps and did nothing or turned away Jewish refugees sending them back to Europe to their death as they were the poor and unwashed beyond our quota? If your county does nothing to help and even worse is actively involved in the extermination of your people does it deserve "respect"? Should Native Americans be allowed to kneel in reflection for how they were treated?

I am sick and tired of white supremacists who say not every unarmed person killed by a cop was black. Not every person killed in Auschwitz was a Jew either. This nation was founded with slavery enshrined in its constitution. The White House was built by slaves. Pennsylvania which had allowed non-Whites to vote removed that provision in 1838 and it was not restored until 1869. It took the bloodiest war in US history to end slavery and then people looked the other way as the Jim Crow laws put the Negro back into inequality. The KKK, lynchings, police brutality, segregation all either ignored or actively supported by local state and the federal government.

And now it continues. On this website people start thread after thread on the same tired tropes. If only the Blacks wouldn't be so uppity. If only they'd behave and act like I think they should. If only they weren't so lazy and shiftless. If only they'd not sully our beautiful white women with their rapes.

So yes Black Lives Matter. Finally the majority of Americans are getting the clue. And now that most corporations are seeing this moment in history and getting on board perhaps we can begin as a nation to undo some of the systematic racism most of us see, Then healing can begin and the flag might actually mean to POC what it means to some of you.

You have absolutely hit on the reasons for the abject fear of so many whites, that I mentioned in my previous post. Not that they will ever have the honesty to admit it though.
