Just like New York the city has a determined spirit that overcomes adversity. Has in the past and will in the future.

I also grew up in Chicago, and lived almost all my life in Illinois, but sadly the adversity in the city has it’s roots in failed social policies, and until that changes the saving spirit you mention will be lacking!
