The valve lets your breath escape unfiltered, so while it may keep you safe, it doesn’t keep others as safe as some other options. These valves masks aren’t for use in settings where people could catch something from you. (In the chart, green is NO mask. Orange is how much gets through at difference sneeze velocities. No orange, no worry. Lots of orange, find something better. Fleece is by far the worst mask. The different Cotton numbers indicate thickness.)
