And if they comply, enter the store, and then take it off as soon as they're out of sight of the entry? Who and what army is going to chase that person down through the aisles to kick him out for violating store policy that isn't an actual law?
As long as the state refuses to mandate this, stores will be at the mercy of people who reject science, reject courtesy, reject respect for rules, and choose to make things difficult for everyone else because "mah freedumz."
