Wrong. Yes they do have to take the Florida state test to become sales agents for the villages. Thus they are real estate agents but they are not Realtors. To become a Realtor you have to pass a national test and then you have the privilege of paying about $1000 a year to join the national board of Realtors, the state board of Realtors, and the local board of Realtors! The consensus being that Realtors have more education and require more training! In fairness I worked with a Villages sales agent to buy my home, and she did a great job.
