I can’t help you with the doctor, as I’m in Virginia. But I want to mention that there have been amazing advances in multifocal lenses in recent years.
I got the Alcon PanOptix Trifocal Intraocular Lenses, but your vision needs may be very different, of course.
I wore glasses for almost 50 years. Now I’m glasses-free, except for reading glasses when I face teeny-tiny type. Or maybe if my eyes get too fatigued late in the day.
No problem for me with night driving.
Also, the laser cataract procedure was pain-free.
