How about being a neighbor ? If you don’t see them check on them or if they need help do do. When I lost use of my hand for 5 months all I received was 2 nasty neighbors banging on my door asking when I was going to save a tree and the other complained about my lawn guy who quit 2 weeks earlier. They saw my brace. They both had lawn mowers. Nope no offer instead they called and complained and I got a letter. Not a hello not a how are you and yet I gave them tax forms as a courtesy. Not even thank you. I’m going to take the advice of many, sell the house after a year and move. It is not the friendliest place in Florida. Especially when you’re a woman alone. God forbid don’t ever get sick or injured here as there are no resources to help.
We have been here for 6 months and by and large find people to be friendly. Could be you managed to find a home on an unfriendly block.
