Reluctant to respond to this post, but I agree with the first part of your post....i.e., "liar" does presume intent.
I, like you, are wrong except that I am wrong on many occasion, not a few.
I always attempt to provide some sort of proof when I use that term on this forum, because I think also it is imperative.
Really disconcerting are accusations made with not even an attempt to allow some credence.
