It's a matter of public confidence now. People are holding on to their money and businesses are not spending capitol and in fact are laying of in anticipation of what the new government is going to do to them.
No amount of wild spending by the incompetents in congress is going to change it and in fact will make it even worse.
Our only hope is for the bail out bills to some how not happen. If they would take those off the table and start cutting cap gains taxes and individual taxes, the folks will start spending and business will start hiring. The housing market will normalize and when the dust clears the economy will start to come back.
Anything else and we are in for a long haul of pain. The thing that makes me mad is Obama and his crew in congress will always have an ala by. No matter how far they drive us in the ditch they will alway blame it on Bush although he's partly to blame anyway.
Another funny thing I heard today on the news. Bush's inauguration cost 40 million and all the folks on the left went nuts and newspapers starting running stories on how the money could be better spent such as immunizations for poor kids, etc.. you know the list.
Obama's inauguration is 150 million during the "worst financial crisis since the great depression" and not a word from anyone.
Things that make you go hum...
