Not a problem, at least with our recent cruises on Royal Caribbean. When you arrive at the pier, they will give you the heavy-duty tags for your luggage. A magic marker is handy to write your stateroom number on the tag.
Where are you headed? Not that it matters, we've never visited an island we didn't like.
