That means the flag stands for the nation, not that the nation stands for the flag. Do you Get out of your recliner, put down your beer, and stand for the Anthem at home? I went to a sports bar to watch a playoff game last year and sat near two dudes as they guzzled beer and never quit talking, stood up, or removed their mAga caps during the National Anthem. But let a black man peacefully protest, NOT THE FLAG, but injustice, and the yokels lose their minds.
