Definitely get a belt drive. Our old genie opener sounded like the portcullis at the Tower of London was opening.

I installed the Chamberlain 3/4 smart wifi opener. It took me about 90 minutes to do it.
The nice thing about it is I can open the door remotely. I have someone coming to pick up my cart this week and I'm not going to be there. He'll call, I'll open the door and he can get it. No fuss, no muss. I also have a camera in there, so I can watch
